About Diane

Associate Professor Drs Diane Nijs

Diane Nijs has a master's degree in Physical Education of the Catholique University of Louvain, a master's degree in Leisure Management from the Free University of Brussels and a degree in Marketing-Management from EHSAL Brussels. She started her career as Director of the Leisure Academy, lectured in International Marketing and Strategy and developed the field of 'imagineering' as an 'instrument for strategizing in a connected world'. In this field she worked also as a strategic advisor with the Advertising Agency LDV Bates in Antwerp and with TodayDesign in Louvain. She is co-author of the book 'Imagineering', developed the Master in Imagineering (NVAO accreditation 2007). At the moment she is working on a PhD at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen (Strategy and Innovation).
